I can understand the Dual Dual-Link DVI Cable connectors. About the time you bought them (going on the date of the post… I was sporting myself two of these: Giving me a resolution across two of 5120×1440 I did actually look at Dell kit, despite having a hatred for Dell (but I’m not sure where it comes from, really, but it’s a very old hate). I couldn’t find anything that were S-IPS, the same PPI, very similar colour gamuts, and would work seamlessly in a triple-head scenario with two rotated monitors flanking a larger widescreen monitor (Portrait mode is underrated, but you need another normal screen for it to work properly). They’re nice screens though, and despite being a bit uneasy about Dell’s hardware in general, I think their monitors are reasonable. Do the H-IPS panels look too bright and fuzzy though? I find S-IPS panels are a bit darker (actually good for me), but the pixels are a bit sharper. |
